Playbook for Life Racing - Blue Ridge Relay
Leg 1 - 4.0 miles (Jim)

903am - We had 2
vans, which was a wonderful situtation. Plenty of room
for everyone to stretch out. We split up with 4 runners in each van, but for
this first round (Legs 1-8) we all stayed together, both vans stopping at
each exchange point to encourage each runner. Crystal drove one van
with runners #1-#4, runners #5-#8 shared driving duties in the other van.
Here Kris (runner #6) is at the wheel as we chase Jim down the mountain.

905am - Jim has
opened up a lead on Superwoman. This first leg is 4 miles
long, all downhill. Jim ran it in a dead sprint.

908am - Already
seeing some of the gorgeous scenery of the Blue Ridge
that we would enjoy for the next 28+ hours.

917am - Wayne is runner #8, but it's never too soon to relax and rest!

922am - Jim arrives
in a hurry, passes the relay "Slap Bracelet" off to
sister Katie, and in a flash she is gone, ponytail flying in the wind.
